His portrayal was soft and iconic, showing how Dumbledore is kind and wise.

Maggie Smith in the role of Minerva McGonagall:

British veteran actress Maggie Smith brought warmth along with strictness to Professor McGonagall’s character. Rowling had met Smith in her imagination and so it was fitting that Smith is cast in the role. Alan Rickman in the role of Severus Snape: The role of snape was given to Alan Rickman by Chris Columbus the director and J.K. Rowling the creator. Rickman knew how to physically cast menace and mystery as was required for the multi layered complex character and he did it wonderfully. You’d remember it as one of the best performances in the series.

Alan Rickman as Severus Snape:

Alan Rickman was offered the role of Snape by director Chris Columbus and JK Rowling. Known for his ability to be menacing and mysterious, Rickman delivered the multi-faceted, intricate character beautifully and his performance became one of the standout portrayals in the series.

Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy:

Initially, Tom Felton was indeed interested in other parts but was roped in for Draco Malfoy due to his scheming and antagonistic portrayal of the character. His rivalry with Harry contributed to the overall mythology of Hogwarts in a competent manner.
